Brian Hill

Throughout his life, Brian Hill has dedicated himself to protecting the vulnerable. He worked in the Social Security Administration's disability division for 25 years. In his retirement, he volunteers as a Meals on Wheels driver, in addition to working two days a week at a hospice organization, where he helps ensure that those in the last stages of their lives are receiving quality care.

Brian also has been a Children International sponsor since 1991, sponsoring girls in Colombia, Honduras and India. "Not having any children of my own, I have a humanitarian instinct," he says. "I was looking for something I could contribute to that would survive me — like children. I wanted to help the next generation be successful."

Brian cherishes the correspondence he has with his sponsored children, knowing he is making an impact on their lives and their futures. "Children International gives me the opportunity to live for someone other than myself," Brian explains.

His confidence in the organization and his dedication to helping young people break free from poverty inspired him to establish a trust to benefit Children International. Listing Children International as a beneficiary of his trust ensures that Brian can help make an impact on what is important in his life.

"It was an easy decision to make," he says. "The children are the future. If you're going to end poverty, you need to start with them."
